Jerry Stokes is a music executive who has an extensive network of connections in the music industry. Early in his career, Jerry helped start Ruff Ryders Entertainment who, among other artists, signed DMX and also ran Floyd Mayweather's record label, Philthy Rich Records. Throughout his career, Jerry has facilitated deals with record labels such as BMG, Universal Records, and Sony. Jerry works in close contact with several A-list celebrity artists on a regular basis, giving him the connections and experience necessary to create the best environment to jumpstart a new artist in today’s industry.
Jerry recently completed work with Chris Brown, Ty Dolla, Famous Dex, Flume, and a few other major influencers, creating ongoing working relationships that he has cultivated over several years.
In addition to working directly with several well-known artists, he is also a talent scout for Jon Cohen at Big Noise Entertainment/Universal.
Jerry has also set up and closed several publishing deals, securing millions of dollars in publishing royalties for several artists.
Recently he has secured record deals for Maino and Casey Veggies at Universal Records. He is currently in the process of closing a record deal for a new artist named Reo Cragun at BMG records.
As an independent executive and artist relationship manager, Jerry has the unique ability to work across several genres with different major labels and production groups to guide and secure a new artist into viable label deals.
